 Air Purifers Cleaners

There are a number of different types of air purifiers cleaners available on the market using different technologies to tackle the problem of pollution.
Air pollution within the home and workplace can seriously affect the health, wellbeing and efficiency of the people forced to endure it. It is a fact that often air pollution within a building is significantly higher and more harmful than that outside. Whilst we worry ourselves about poor air quality caused by passing traffic, we give scant thought to the dangerous levels of pollution that might be present inside. As an example, consider the number of chemicals that are used on a day to day basis within the home; there are all manner of cleaning, polishing products, insecticide and deoderising sprays, cigarette and cooking smells; there are chemical and dust particles from carpets, furnishings and fitments. It is not surprising, therefore, that so many people are constantly feeling 'under the weather' and those with breathing difficulties suffer so much. It makes sense to install a suitable air purifiers cleaners to filter out the pollutants rather than use your lungs to achieve the same end.

Listed below are the most popular air purifiers cleaners types:-

Mechanical types - Machines that draw the air through a very fine filter such as the air purifier hepa filter, capturing allergens. Allergens are those minute particles that can set up an allergic reaction in those people who are prone to asthma attacks. Dander from pets, dust mites, cigarette smoke and cockroaches are examples. These machines are very effective at mechanically drawing in and trapping these particulates and filters last a considerable time before requiring renewal. Unfortunately these machines are ineffective regarding the removal of airborne chemicals, smells and fumes.

Another using a similar technique utilises a carbon filter which is effective in tackling airborne chemicals, various fumes, smoke and smells. The activated carbon has unique properties that neutralise and captures the smallest molecule. These carbon air purifiers/cleaners are very popular.

Electrostatic types - The Ionizer machine, as the name suggests pushes out ions into the room spaces. The ions are negatively charged and induce positively charged dust particles. Other particles, in turn become negetively charged and attract each other. Once bonded the particles fall from the air clearing the air.

Another room air purifier is the Ozone air purifier generator. The production of ozone in order to counter pollution is a little controversial. Ozone is a gas made of oxygen with three atoms per molecule and is a strong oxidizing agent. It is known to be harmful to humans and animals in high concentrations but considered safe in the machines designed for the home and office. The ozone produced oxidises some of the pollutants when contact is made and is most effective in eliminating odors, some chemicals and bacteria. It is advisable to follow the operating instructions carefully and run the machine at the recommended levels.

There are other air purifiers/cleaners that utilise UV (Ultraviolet) light to destroy bacteria, molds and micro organisms whilst others combine the whole gamut of technologies in order to be more effective in the quest for a cleaner, healthier environment.

In today's world, where all of us are exposed to an ever more exotic range of chemical pollutants and where more and more of us are experiencing poor health, investing in a suitable air purifier/cleaner makes good sense. We must take responsiblity for our own well being. Equally for business owners, the installation of the right air purifier making for a healthy work environment has got to be a good investment.
